The UC2872DWTRG4 is a cold cathode fluorescent, neon, and other gas discharge lamp resonant lamp ballast controller.
The resonant power stage generates a sinusoidal lamp drive voltage while reducing switching loss and EMI generation. A buck regulator synchronized to the resonant frequency of the external power stage is used to adjust lamp intensity. When turned off, the UC3872 draws only 1A, making it ideal for automotive and battery-powered applications. UC2872DWTRG4
